Location: Langsburg, MI
Systems Deployed: 10.2 kW
Estimated year 1 generation: 12,337 kWh
In August 2024, Michigan Solar Solutions (MSS) partnered with First Congregational Church of Laingsburg to design and install a roof-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system. This initiative was driven by the church’s commitment to sustainability and its desire to reduce the financial impact of rising electricity costs. By integrating solar energy, the church is taking proactive steps to be responsible stewards of both their financial resources and the environment.
The solar array is projected to generate 12,337 kWh of clean energy in its first year, offsetting approximately 9.4 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This reduction is equivalent to eliminating 23,991 miles driven by an average gasoline-powered passenger vehicle, significantly decreasing the church’s carbon footprint.
Beyond environmental benefits, this installation represents a long-term investment in energy independence and financial stability. By lowering utility expenses, the church can allocate more resources toward its mission and community initiatives. This project underscores how solar energy can empower organizations to align their values with sustainable practices while achieving measurable economic and ecological benefits.
MSS is proud to support First Congregational Church of Laingsburg in its transition to renewable energy, ensuring decades of reliable, clean power.
